Species: ARAGONITE Locality: Green Rd. Raymond, NH Specimen Size: 5 mm field of view Field Collected: Bob Janules Catalog No.: u2751 Notes: Most striking under the scope, but clear sprays on mostly clear/milky quartz, so low contrast for a photo. Stack of 266 with MPE-65 lens. |

Species: ANATASE Locality: N. Sugarloaf Mtn., Bethlehem, NH Specimen Size: 4 mm anatase crystal cluster Field Collected: Bob Janules Catalog No.: TBC Notes: "Pseudo-cubic" anatase habit has been observed on several N. Sugarloaf specimens. A mass of anatase crystals like this is unusual. |

Species: ZIRCON Locality: Pegmatite prospect, knob west of power line, Hobart Hill area, Alexanderia, NH Specimen Size: 2 mm zircon crystal Field Collected: Tom Mortimer Catalog No.: Notes: This zircon is not fluorescent. Species: KINGSMOUNTITE Locality: Chickering Mine, Walpole, NH Specimen Size: 2.3 mm field of view Field Collected: Bob Wilken Catalog No.: A Bob Wilken specimen & photo Notes: A qualitative Kerry Day EDS analysis (BWilken19) showed a Al, Fe, Mn, phosphate with a LOT of Ca. Kingsmountite is chemically a reasonable fit and this Chickering specimen is a good visual match with several mindat kingsmountite photos, although none have these feathery tops. A quantitative EDS is planned. Kevin Czaja's Mar/Apr 2025 Rocks & Minerals article on the Turner Mine, Marlow, NH, reported a confirmed presence of kingsmountite. |

Species: FALSTERITE Locality: Palermo Mine, Groton, NH Specimen Size: 1.0 mm field of view Field Collected: ex. Fred Wilda Catalog No.: A Bob Wilken specimen & photo Notes: [bw] The falsterite mass in this photo is small, but because it is small, it escaped any damage. It's also more intelligible because the xls are a straight-on view. These xls are more than tissue-paper thin. |

Species: PYRITE Locality: New Hampton, NH Specimen Size: 1.5 mm field of view Field Collected: ex. Philip Foster collection Catalog No.: A Scott Dion specimen & photo Notes: Unusual prismatic habit. Perhaps from the Rt. 104 road cut. |

Species: BROOKITE Locality: Mine Falls Park Locality, Nashua, NH Specimen Size: [sw] "< 1 mm field of view." Field Collected: Scott Whittemore Catalog No.: A Scott Whittemore specimen and photo Notes: This is arguably the best photo of a New Hampshire brookite specimen. This is a Scott Whittemore scanned image of a 35 mm slide photo taken by Scott. Scott achieved remarkable results with his 35 mm slide photography, many years before the advent of image stacking. |
