Locality: Johnson Rd., Bow, NH Specimen Size: 1.2 mm cluster of barite crystals - see notes Field Collected: 2016 Catalog No.: u2110 Notes: One of these crystals has a distinct hexagonal tabular habit that is characteristic of the lead carbonate-sulfate, leadhillite. This crystal is outlined in the second photo. Other crystals in the cluster have more of a tabular-prismatic barite habit. |

Species: BARITE Locality: Wise Mine, Westmoreland, NH Specimen Size: 1.8 mm crystal Field Collected: Anna Wilken Catalog No.: u2578 Notes: Barite is reported from the Wise Mine on mindat, but there are no photos. This is the first Wise Mine barite that I [tm] have seen. Small colorless cubes of fluorite and clear quartz crystals are also present on this specimen. |
