Specimen data for Copiapite
Tom Mortimer catalog number: 1726
Identification method: This copiapite occurrance was discovered by Dana Morong, who made the species determination. It was verified that this yellow crusty mineral mostly disolves in water, (copiapite is water soluable). A small amount of residual mineral remains that is likely a second admixed species.
Notes: The Raymond, NH occurrence of copiapite is the one responsible for the inclusion of this species on the New Hampshire list.
